I'm Darrell. By profession I'm an airline captain — thirty-nine years and counting. By inclination I'm a builder: chess tools, local AI infrastructure, robotics experiments, whatever the next problem is. Red Shed is the name on the door. It's a workshop, not a brand. I'm not trying to be everywhere on social media. I'm just trying to build things worth building and write honestly about what that means in an era where the tools are changing faster than most people are thinking about.

The work here is open source where it can be. The notes are unsponsored and unoptimized. If something is useful to you, that's enough.
